Manage Product Types in Liqnic Admin

In this guide, you’ll learn how to manage product types in your admin panel.

View Product Types

Product types help group products by a general type, such as Physical or Digital.

To view product types:

1. Go to Settings → Product Types.
2. You’ll see a list of all product types in your store.
3. Use search, filter, and sort to find a specific product type.

Create Product Type

To create a product type:

1. Go to Settings → Product Types.
2. Click the Create button.
3. Enter a value for the product type in the Value field (e.g., “Digital”).
4. Click Create when done.

View Product Type Details

To view a product type’s details:

1. Go to Settings → Product Types.
2. Click on a product type from the list.

This opens the Product Type Details page.

Edit Product Type Details

To edit a product type:

1. Go to the product type’s details page.
2. Click the ⋮ icon in the first section’s header.
3. Choose Edit.
4. In the side window, edit the product type’s Value.
5. Click Save when done.

Manage Products in a Type

You can assign or update the type of a product from the product’s details page.

Manage Product Type Metadata

Metadata is custom key-value data associated with a product type, often for integrations or additional information.

To manage metadata:

1. Click the ⋮ icon in the Metadata section.

2. In the side window:

   • Manage key-value pairs in the table.
   • To add a new row:
     • Hover over a row → click the ⋮ icon → choose Insert row above or Insert row below.
   • To delete a row:
     • Hover → click the ⋮ icon → choose Delete row.

3. Click Save when done.

Delete Product Type

Warning: Deleting a product type is irreversible.

1. Go to the product type’s details page.
2. Click the ⋮ icon in the first section’s header.
3. Choose Delete.
4. Confirm deletion by clicking Delete in the pop-up.
