Manage Locations in Liqnic Admin

In this guide, you’ll learn how to manage stock locations using the admin panel.


What is a Stock Location?

A stock location represents a physical storage location, such as a warehouse. You can manage inventory quantities at these locations.

For each location, you can specify:

  • Associated sales channels
  • Available fulfillment providers
  • Shipping options available from the location

During checkout, a customer can only choose shipping options available from the location tied to the sales channel. After the order is placed, items are fulfilled from that stock location.


Create Location

To create a stock location:

  1. Go to Settings → Locations & Shipping.
  2. Click the Create button.
  3. Fill out the form:
    • Name: e.g., “Main Warehouse”
    • Address: Enter at least an address line and country
  4. Click Save.

View Location Details

To view a location:

  1. Go to Settings → Locations.
  2. Click View details in the location’s section header.

This opens the location’s details page.


Edit Location

To edit a stock location:

  1. Open the location’s details page.
  2. Click the icon in the first section’s header.
  3. Choose Edit.
  4. Update the location’s name and address.
  5. Click Save.

Create Shipping Options

Stock locations can have shipping options for pickup and shipping modes. Shipping options are organized by service zones, which are geographical areas covered by the location.

1. Enable Shipping Mode

By default, pickup and shipping are disabled:

  1. Go to the location’s details page.
  2. Click the icon in the header of the Pickup or Shipping section.
  3. Choose Enable from the dropdown.

You can disable a mode the same way.

2. Create Service Zone

To create a service zone:

  1. Go to the location’s details page.
  2. Click the icon in the Pickup or Shipping section.
  3. Choose Create service zone.
  4. Fill out the form:
    • Name: e.g., “United States”
    • Areas: Click Manage areas, select countries, and save
  5. Click Save.

3. Create Shipping Options

Add shipping options to the service zone:

  1. Go to the location’s details page.

  2. In Pickup or Shipping, locate the service zone.

  3. Click Create option next to Shipping options, Pickup options, or Return options.

  4. Fill out the form:

    • Price type: Fixed or Calculated
    • Name: Option name visible to customers
    • Shipping Profile: Only products in this profile can use this option
    • Shipping Option Type: Group similar shipping options
    • Fulfillment Provider & Option: Select the provider and specific option
    • Enable in store: Toggle off if internal only
  5. Click Save (or Continue to enter prices if Fixed).


Fixed and Conditional Shipping Option Prices

In the Prices step, use the Bulk Editor to enter prices for each currency and region.

  • Tax-exclusive columns: Taxes added during checkout
  • Tax-inclusive columns: Taxes included in the price

Shipping prices can be conditional based on the cart total. Example: free shipping if cart exceeds $100.

To set conditional prices:

  1. Hover over a Bulk Editor cell and click the icon.
  2. Add conditional prices in the form:
    • Price
    • Minimum cart total
    • Maximum cart total
  3. Click Save when done.

You can manage shipping options further in the Manage Shipping Options section.


Manage Service Zones

Service zones in pickup or shipping mode can be created, edited, or deleted.

Edit Service Zone Details

To edit a service zone:

  1. Go to the location’s details page.
  2. In Pickup or Shipping, find the service zone and click the icon.
  3. Choose Edit.
  4. In the side window, edit the service zone name.
  5. Click Save.

Manage Service Zone Areas

To manage the areas in a service zone:

  1. Go to the location’s details page.
  2. In Pickup or Shipping, find the service zone and click the icon.
  3. Choose Manage areas.
  4. In the form, check countries to add and uncheck countries to remove.
  5. Click Save in the form, then click Save again.

Delete Service Zone

Warning: Deleting a service zone is irreversible and removes all shipping options in that zone.

  1. Go to the location’s details page.
  2. In Pickup or Shipping, find the service zone and click the icon.
  3. Choose Delete.
  4. Confirm by clicking Delete in the pop-up.

Manage Shipping Options

Shipping options in pickup or shipping modes can be created, edited, or deleted.

Edit Shipping Option Details

To edit a shipping option:

  1. Go to the location’s details page.

  2. In Pickup or Shipping, find the shipping option and click the icon.

  3. Choose Edit option.

  4. In the side window, edit:

    • Price type
    • Name
    • Shipping profile
    • Shipping option type
    • Enable/disable in store
  5. Click Save.

Note: Fulfillment provider or fulfillment option cannot be edited after creation.

Edit Shipping Option Prices

To edit Fixed-price shipping options:

  1. Go to the location’s details page.
  2. In Pickup or Shipping, click the icon next to the shipping option.
  3. Choose Edit prices.
  4. Use the Bulk Editor to update prices for every currency and region.
  5. Conditional pricing can be applied based on cart total.
  6. Click Save.

Tips:

  • Tax-exclusive columns: taxes added during checkout
  • Tax-inclusive columns: taxes included in the price
  • Tax-inclusive pricing is configured in the currency or region settings.

Delete Shipping Option

Warning: Deleting a shipping option is irreversible.

  1. Go to the location’s details page.
  2. In Pickup or Shipping, click the icon next to the shipping option.
  3. Choose Delete.
  4. Confirm by entering the option name and clicking Delete.

Change Associated Sales Channels

To update sales channels for a location:

  1. Go to the location’s details page.
  2. Click the icon in the Sales Channels section header.
  3. Choose Edit.
  4. Select or unselect sales channels to associate with the location.
  5. Click Save.

Manage Fulfillment Providers

To manage fulfillment providers for a location:

  1. Go to the location’s details page.
  2. Click the icon in the Fulfillment Providers section header.
  3. Choose Edit.
  4. Select or unselect fulfillment providers for the location.
  5. Click Save.

Delete Location

Warning: Deleting a location is irreversible and removes its service zones and shipping options.

  1. Open the location’s details page.
  2. Click the icon in the first section’s header.
  3. Choose Delete.
  4. Confirm by entering the location’s name and clicking Delete.
